Alto de la Ballena is located in the surroundings of Punta del Este, the country’s most exclusive tourist and beach center. At the foothill of Sierra de la Ballena (Whale Hills), the vines are well drained due to both the slopes and the loose, gravelly soil. Very close to the ocean and lake Laguna del Sauce it enjoys a moderate climate, with cool nights during grapes ripening period.

This magnificent terroir along with a very careful management of the vines provide outstanding grapes for Alto de la Ballena’s unique wines, crafted following modern winemaking techniques to ensure quality and good aging conditions.
